I grew up in Cache Valley, Utah, starting like a lot of us—throwing spinners for browns on the Logan River. But when I stumbled into bass fishing, curiosity turned into obsession. I stopped being a guy who just "fished" and became a student of fish behavior. I realized that success wasn't about luck; it was about dissecting the water with purpose.

Today, I’m a shallow-water, cover-oriented angler who isn't afraid to grind. But my true "White Rhino" is the Lake Trout—a vendetta born from hooking a monster through the ice at Bear Lake and losing it at the hole. That loss defined me. It turned me from a hobbyist into a tinkerer, a diagnostic thinker, and a problem solver. I fish with my dad, my friends, and my 11 & 7-year-old sons, teaching where I can and learning where I need to. For me, fishing isn't just a pastime—it's the way I connect to the challenge and the part of myself that refuses to stay still.
